We Are Awanny Crafts

At Awanny Crafts we maintain the textile tradition of our indigenous Otavalo culture, with techniques and tasks that our grandparents learned as children and passed on to our parents. And now, together with them, we start a new generation of tradition, maintaining the essence and improving the quality of our crafts, with the fusion of new colors and styles. Awanny means «I weave» in our native Kichwa language and that’s what we do, we enjoy weaving art.

Take advantage and visit us at our physical store in the famous «Plaza de Ponchos» Craft Market, in the city of Otavalo, on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. You can also visit our workshop-gallery located 10 minutes from Otavalo city every day.
